Go Jamaica!

If you held your breath while they are running, you wouldn’t have time to turn blue.

They are so freaking fast it’s amazing to watch.

Usain Bolt broke the 100m world record without even trying (he even slowed down in the last 10m or so). He broke Michael Johnson’s 12 year-old 200m record next. And he just won the 4×100m relay with the rest of his team mates, beating the world record time by 0.3 seconds.

The girls won all 1-2-3 spots in the 100m, gold and bronze in the 200m, gold in 400m hurdles (Olympic record) and silver in 400m.

Usain Bolt’s father says it’s Jamaican yam.
His son grew up on yam.

Wu tao man kau yuk (braised yam with pork belly) anyone?

All that practice running away from ..ugh..yam! It’s no wonder he’s fast. I like how there wasn’t US domination in the sprint events this year. A welcome change from “Wonder which North American athlete will win it this year?”

WN: But yam is yam-yam! :D Hahahaha!
